France Healthcare Benefits

Retirement benefits, medical insurance, and disability protections are common components of Frances ubiquitous collective agreements. They may provide additional mandatory benefits in certain sectors or industries, above the statutory minimums.

Employers in France are therefore required to offer private health insurance to their employees, (as of Jan 1st 2016), to supplement the healthcare reimbursements provided by the French government’s Social Security programme. Contributions are established by the relevant collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
