Do I need a Work Permit or Visa to work in France?

Whilst Agility EOR does not generally “sponsor” Work Permits (this practice is not always compatible with the EOR/PEO model), we can generally support candidates needing a work visa in France.

If you’re a foreigner looking to work in France, you’re going need a work permit, also known as a “titre de séjour” or a “carte de séjour”.

There are different types of work permits depending on your situation. If you’re from the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA), you don’t need a work permit to work in France.

If you’re from outside the EU/EEA, you’ll need to apply for a work permit. There are a few different types of work permits depending on your situation, like if you have a job offer in France or if you’re starting your own business.

To apply for a work permit, you’ll need to have a valid passport and some other documents, like your CV, your diploma or qualifications, and your work contract. You’ll also need to show that you have enough money to support yourself while you’re in France.

The application process can take a while, so make sure to start it early! You can apply for a work permit at the French embassy or consulate in your home country.

Once you have your work permit, you’ll need to make sure to renew it before it expires if you want to keep working in France.

Payrolling the employees is a key part of the service offered by an Employer of Record company. The Employer of Record will calculate and remit all taxes, social securities and similar payments, on behalf of both employer and employee. The client will be invoiced in advance by the EOR company, for the total cost of the payroll.

Yes. Our clients are free to dictate the structure of the employees’ remuneration including any bonuses or commissions they wish to offer. In some countries, there is a statutory requirement to provide “bonuses”, for example in the form of Christmas or holiday allowances.

Yes. Agility EOR will calculate what pay is due upon termination of an employee, factoring in such things as any untaken leave entitlements.
