Do I need a Work Permit or Visa to work in Singapore?

Whilst AgilityEOR does not generally “sponsor” Work Permits (this practice is not always compatible with the EOR/PEO model), we can generally support candidates needing a work visa in Singapore.

The most common Visa type is the Employment Pass which is suitable for foreign professionals, managers and other executives.  Candidates must earn a minimum of $5,000 per month, however this minimum salary threshold increases according to the employee’s age rising up to $10,500 for those in their mid-40s.  Employers must also advertise the vacancy on the MyCareersFuture website and ensure that they apply a fair selection process.   If an employment pass is granted, the duration will be as follows:

  • First-time candidates: up to 2 years
  • Renewals: up to 3 years

Experienced tech professionals with skills in shortage may be eligible for a longer 5-year duration pass.

Payrolling the employees is a key part of the service offered by an employer of record company. The EOR will calculate and remit all taxes, social securities and similar payments, on behalf of both employer and employee. The client will be invoiced in advance by the EOR company, for the total cost of the payroll.

Yes. Our clients are free to dictate the structure of the employees’ remuneration including any bonuses or commissions they wish to offer. In some countries, there is a statutory requirement to provide “bonuses”, for example in the form of Christmas or holiday allowances.

Yes. Agility EOR will calculate what pay is due upon termination of an employee, factoring in such things as any untaken leave entitlements.
