Here at Agility EOR, a trusted global Employer of Record, we believe in making a meaningful difference in the countries and communities we serve. That’s why we’re proud to support on-call firefighters Lauren Addis and Lisa Norgate-Barnes as they prepare for the British Firefighter Challenge (BFC) 2026 - an internationally recognized event that tests competitors’ physical and mental limits while raising funds for charities supporting emergency services.

Training for the Toughest Challenge

One of the most demanding elements of the BFC competition is the casualty drag, where firefighters must pull a 70kg dummy while wearing the full three-and-a-half stone fire kit. Unfortunately, Lauren and Lisa’s regular 55kg training dummy, “Tom,” wasn’t heavy enough to replicate competition conditions, so when we heard about their plight, we funded a specialist dummy, enabling them to train at full competition weight.

With the new model, Lauren and Lisa can focus fully on training, improving their operational readiness, and raising funds for vital emergency services charities.

What It Means

Lisa Norgate-Barnes commented, “We’re incredibly grateful for the support from Agility EOR. The British Firefighter Challenge is one of the toughest events, and being able to train properly makes a huge difference for competition day and our day-to-day fitness. Our old training dummy, ‘Tom,’ has served us well, but now we can finally train under real competition conditions.”
